Learn to make sushi with Carrie Chen in this fun and delicious hands-on class. Carrie will demonstrate the basics and beyond of making seasoned sushi rice, including how to select sushi-grade rice, fish, vegetables and how to prepare the assorted ingredients for rolling. Students will get hands-on practice for a variety of sushi-making techniques, including:
Carrie will share resources so students learn where to source ingredients and what equipment is required for making sushi at home. The class will conclude with a delicious lunch of sushi your creations and will finish with Japanese green tea and mochi pastry. Come hungry!
Carrie Chen follows in a long line of superb Taiwanese chefs and is the owner of Casana T House in Hillsdale, NY, serving exceptional teas, Asian specialties and more for breakfast and lunch. She is also the designer of a line of cashmere sold in her Hillsdale shop.

Cancellation policy: We do not offer refunds on purchased tickets. Persons who notify us at least seven (7) days in advance that they cannot attend will receive credit and may register for another class of equal value held within the subsequent two months.
Notes: Cooking class attendees receive 10% discount on kitchenware purchases on class day. Classes are geared to adults unless otherwise noted. However, children over 7 are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.
