The grill is HOT and the salads are COOL in this special summer cooking class with Chef Wayne Homsi. Wayne will share his secrets for a great mixed grill out on our kitchen courtyard while showing and sharing his recipes for an array of perfect summer salads and their dressings. Keep your cool this summer by leaving the stove off, and Chef Wayne will show you how. This will be a demonstration class, but handy volunteers can pitch in here and there. Of course you’ll not only LEARN but you’ll also LUNCH!
This demonstration class is limited to 12 people.
Chef Wayne Homsi graduating with honors from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and went on to work at the Waldorf Astoria hotel on Park Avenue in New York City. He quickly rose through the ranks to become the youngest Sous Chef in the history of the Waldorf and was ultimately recruited to work at some of New York’s best restaurants, including, Peacock Alley, Artisanal Fromagerie and Picholine.
Wanting to continue developing his craft, Chef Wayne sought out opportunities to train with and work in the kitchens of many esteemed chefs including Laurant Gras, Eric Ripert, Laurant Manrique, Daniel Boulude, Terrance Brennen, Gray Kunz, John Doherty and Jeroen Van den Bos.
In 2002, Wayne became the Executive Chef and Partner at the highly regarded Il Barilotto Restaurant and Wine Bar located in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Today Wayne owns and operates Casual Elegance Catering here in the Hudson Valley. At Casual Elegance he combines classic techniques with the freshest local ingredients to design menus around the bounty of products that the Hudson Valley offers.

Notes: Cooking class attendees receive 10% discount on kitchenware purchases on class day. Classes are geared to adults unless otherwise noted. However, children over 7 are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.
