David Wurth is a long-time practitioner of Farm-to-Table dining in the Hudson Valley. After years as the Chef de Cuisine of the Savoy restaurant in Manhattan, he moved to Columbia County to be closer to the farmers whose produce he cooked with and loved. He was the original chef at Local 111 in Philmont, and in 2012 opened his first chef-owned restaurant, CrossRoads Food Shop, in Hillsdale. CrossRoads is much-admired for simple yet delicious seasonal menus, making the best breakfast and lunch in our rural region.
