Golly…SPRING. Can it be true that it’s almost here? At HGS Home Chef we know it’s around the corner because Marisa McClellan is coming back to our little spot in the Hudson Valley – Berkshires to teach two classes on the topic of food in jars. Marissa knows a bit about that subject, because she has a much-followed blog called, you guessed it – Food in Jars.
Marisa is also the author of several cookbooks: Food in Jars (Running Press 2012); Preserving by the Pint (Running Press 2014); Naturally Sweet Food in Jars (Running Press 2016), and finally The Food in Jars Kitchen, which comes out this spring.
You might say that Marisa is a busy girl, but somehow she’s carved out some time for TWO classes in our country kitchens. On May 4, 2019 she teaches Preserves & Canning in the morning, and that same afternoon she’ll share the secrets of pickles. So yes, SPRING, and we think it’s going to be a good one.
